2007 Recognized Green Certification Programs

What most states have done in recent years is identify nationally recognized green programs and give incentives and rewards based on such standards. While this is a step in the right direction for development, green progress can be given a boost by identifying certain public and private project types that fall within green categories and award incentives based on business. For example, private entities that engage in redevelopment of public buildings in cities should be awarded either based on the number of projects they complete or be given tax credit per green project per fiscal period.
